A Trip to the Doctor

I had to take Zach back for a recheck of his ears so while we were waiting we took several different pictures to pass the time.

Megan's Confirmation

Megan has been taking confirmation classes at our church and today was Confirmation Sunday.   There were six girls in the class and for confirmation Sunday they each helped out during the service.  Megan's job was to read the scripture...

Afterwards we had cake... 

And then stood around and talked...

Paul's Tournament and Jordan's Party

Spring is always a busy time so it's not uncommon to have 2 (or sometimes more!) things to do in a day.  The day started off with going to Zach's baseball game at 10:00.  Almost as soon as that was over we went to Paul's tournament that he was running.  The kids love it because they can play on the play set and eat!

Kristin and Megan helped in the concession stand for a little while too.

Later in the afternoon we went over to Jordan's 2nd birthday party that was held at the park.  Zach got to play with his cousins.

Pinata time!  The hitting order went from youngest to oldest.

It was a beautiful day to be at the park, well, other than a short rain shower we had.  The kids all had fun, there were lots of food and we all got to see Jordan and help him celebrate his birthday.

You would think that would be it and we would head home but no, we went back to Paul's tournament. 

If nothing else Zach should be tired tonight.  I know I am!

DE Children's Museum

Zach is on the verge of being too old to go here but it is such a cute place and since they were doing a special entrance price today ($4 each, a bargain!) him and I made plans to go.  It wasn't too crowded at first so Zach got to go to all the areas and pretty much had things to himself.  Here he is at the bank's drive-thru pneumatic tube.  The tube would go from the "bank" to the "atm."

Here's one area where Zach kept going back to, the stratosphere.  It's a 30-ft diameter climbing structure.  This has always been his favorite thing to do.

That day they had an extra exhibit open that had all different kinds of large foam blocks that you could build with on the floor and these gears at the tables.

Another new thing was this Hurricane Simulator.  Of course this wasn't free, it cost $2, but since we got in the museum at a discounted rate I figured why not. 

We had a nice morning and I'm glad we went.  I'm not sure if we'll go back again because even Zach said on the ride home that he was getting too old for it.  Unless of course we stumble on a good deal again!  

Easter

Easter morning started with going to church and then having an Easter egg hunt afterwards.  

When we got home we found out that the Easter Bunny had visited us and as always left a note for us on the front door.

Along with the note was a clue for an egg hunt.  The Easter Bunny makes us work to find our baskets and leads us all over the house with clues.  Zach got to read the first one.  "Start the hunt, walk don't run, where would you go when your popcorn is done?"

Which of course led them to the microwave.  Megan got to read the next clue, "If you're covered in mud and starting to stink, you may need to clean up in more than a sink!"

That led to the upstairs bathtub.  Then it was the family room, basement refrigerator, garage, cabinet in kids' bathroom, and then the oven.  Lauren got to read that one.  "To find your baskets you must be brave, and go to a place that is dark like a cave!"

Of course that is our basement storage area.  Where we found our baskets and a congratulatory note from the Easter Bunny.

Everyone was looking nice since we had just been to church, definite photo op time!

He really wanted to decorate the house and that was part of his contribution.  Notice how he spelled "happy"?

Once baskets were found and looked through it was on to breakfast time.  I think we're going to start a new Easter breakfast tradition.  Megan's Nutella/cream cheese croissants that she makes.
