I haven't blogged much in November and I have a ton of things just waiting to put on here. I keep a separate folder for pictures that I want to upload to here and I really need to clean it out, especially before the Christmas season. So lucky you, you get to see and read an assortment of stuff.
Timber!...
Earlier this month my dad cut down a tree in their backyard. I wasn't there when it fell but here it is on the ground. Zach, for some reason, was afraid to stand on the stump so my mom had to stand with him.

Of course I wanted to see the tree but the real reason we went over there was to get my tire looked at. It had been slowly losing air over the past few weeks so I wanted to get it checked out. My dad found a small nail in it so he got that plugged for me. Thanks dad! Meanwhile, Zach had loads of fun playing in some of the leaves that were raked.

Yeah, he looks like a goofball in that picture because he was "swimming." The picture doesn't do it justice so here's a video I took of him...
Until Zach, I have never seen anyone swim in leaves. That boy sure is creative.
The dreaded flu shots...
I think I'm a glutton for punishment when I take all 4 kids into the doctor at once. I took them on the afternoon of Veteran's Day when they didn't have school. Maybe I should make my Christmas cards from this picture.

Or maybe this one? Zach has the comfiest seat of all!
Project time again...
We've just been hitting up all the Lowe's Build and Grow projects. Paul was busy (softball tournament I think?) so I took Zach to make this one, a periscope. It was an okay project, very easy to do at least.
Art time...
When Zach's class learned about fire safety they made this dalmation. They used their fingerprints for the spots, painted the hat red, had their dog say one thing about fire safety and then name their dog. As you can see Zach's not much of a painter since half his dog's face is red! He did say, "Stop, Drop and Roll" as his fire safety tip but when asked what he wanted to name his dog he kept saying, "I don't know." So his teacher wrote that on the tag. I want everyone to meet the puppy named, "I don't know!"
Here's my scary skeleton of a boy. I'm not sure if his teachers asked the kids to make a weird face or not. Probably not, I have so many weird faced pictures of him that I think it's normal.

Playoff time...
Kristin's volleyball team had playoffs (earlier in Nov.) and they won the first round that they played. They went to the semifinals and played very well against a very tough team. The first game they almost won, it went into extra points but unfortunately they lost it. Kristin started and played in that game. The next game wasn't as close (she didn't play in that one) but still her team did very well.
As the season progressed I could tell that Kristin was becoming more confident about what she was doing. She had some really great games towards the end of the season. I owe a lot of that confidence to her coach, he really helped her believe she could do it. Surprisingly her coach is in a wheelchair and he's probably taught her more than her past coaches. Now that's a good coach!
