The Best Day Ever (or Not)

No pictures this time, just two funny stories.

This morning Zach was taking a bath and he was having fun as usual and stated that "this is the best day ever!" Thought it was cute that he said that but then promptly forgot about it and went about my day. This afternoon he had his yearly physical at the pediatrician's office and he had to get his MMR booster shot. He is NOT good with shots and it took 3 of us to hold him down while the nurse gave him the shot. As he's being restrained he says quietly, "this is not the best day ever." I had to chuckle at that one.

Another funny thing he said, this one was while we were on vacation. Zach loved playing with his cousin Ryan since they're close in age. But his other cousin, Alex, is younger and you could tell that Zach was getting frustrated whenever Alex would take one of his cars or knock something down that he built. I reminded him that Alex was younger and that's what younger kids do and he said, "well if he would just eat more he would be bigger!" He acted like it was Alex's fault for being little! It's just funny how kids think sometimes.

Oh, by the way, he's no longer an "old guy" any more. He's just a "real person."
