Getting ready for Easter

We spent Saturday morning dying eggs. With 6 people in the family we need a ton of hard boiled eggs. I had 3 dozen eggs ready for us which meant we each had 6 to decorate (yes, Paul and I decorated eggs too!).

We're going to be eating a lot of egg salad sandwiches this week!
Egg Hunt
We only went to one Easter egg hunt this year and that was at a local church. We've been going to this egg hunt every year since the girls were little because the church does such a nice job. They have crafts for the kids to do, then lunch (always hotdogs), then some kind of play/puppet show. After all of that then it's time to do the egg hunt. We met some friends of ours over there and had a very nice time. Lauren got to hold baby Elizabeth:

Annie and Zach colored their bunnies together. Annie even brought Zach a picture she drew.

I brought Lauren along as an extra set of hands so I could be free and take pictures.

Zach ended up getting two free gift certificates for water ice at Rita's in his eggs, in addition to all the candy.

Megan was obviously in a different group of kids so after watching Zach I ran over to see Megan. They had already gotten 5 or 6 eggs each and were ready to do round two.

Megan also got a gift certificate to Rita's. She informed me that the eggs that are harder to find have better stuff in them!

We went back inside to see if we had won any of the raffles but no, not this year. Annie and Zach played for a few minutes, she was trying to lift him, then we said our goodbyes and left.
Tomorrow's Easter, hopefully the Easter bunny visits us!
